Virginia Woolf: Dear Leonard. To look life in the face, always, to look life in the face and to know it for what it is. At last to know it, to love it for what it is, and then, to put it away. Leonard, always the years between us, always the years. Always the love. Always the hours.

"Iris: Because you're hoping you're wrong. And every time she does something that tells you she's no good, you ignore it. And every time she comes through and suprises you, she wins you over, and you lose that argument with yourself, that she's not for you.

GIRL
Have I seen you before?

TOM
I, uh, don’t know. I don't think so.

GIRL

GIRL

TOM

GIRL
Yeah.
I think I’ve seen you there.

TOM
You have? Really? Hmm. I didn’t see you.

GIRL
It happens. You probably weren’t looking.

NARRATOR
